Manager of One

Role and Responsibilities

This is an outbound Business Development role (consultative sales) that is responsible for:

  • Hunting: sourcing new clients ('hunting')
  • Quarterbacking the Sales Process: leading new opportunities through the sales process and pulling in other individuals where needed
  • Closing Revenue: closing $2M+ of revenue per year from new clients (revenue target)

Communication Requirements:
Must (1) have strong communication skills and (2) be available for video calls during the workday. 

Prior Experience

Currently at an agency for 3+ years in a sales role with:

  • similarity selling custom software engagements that Make does (letsmake.com/work)
    • IE: large-scale, custom software across various industries
    • IE: web and mobile products, software systems, data engineering, etc
  • many contracts closed at $1M+ total value
  • outside of abnormal years, have closed $2 - 3 million of new revenue from new clients that have not been at the agency (and a minimum of $1.5 million per year)
